Jonathan Nguyen boasts over a decade of software engineering experience, with previous roles at companies such as Doordash, Google, and Grubhub. As a full-time full-stack developer, he specializes in solving intricate industry issues and scaling software to accommodate millions of users worldwide.
Jonathan has achieved numerous significant milestones, including contributing to the development and launch of Apigee Integrations on Google Cloud Platform, facilitating nationwide COVID-19 testing online with Project Baseline, and establishing the largest support Salesforce organization in Google Cloud. He also played a pivotal role in connecting the entire backend infrastructure for Doordash and contributed to the design and architecture of Grubhub’s corporate long-term framework. Additionally, he actively participates in onboarding new engineers and has successfully ramped up over 100 engineers. Beyond his professional role, Jonathan excels in privately tutoring students in STEM subjects and computer science. His expertise as a full-stack engineer enables him to provide tutoring in various programming languages and technologies, including Java, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, React, Salesforce Apex, Salesforce Lightning, Flutter, Dart, Bash, SQL, NoSQL, REST, gRPC, and more. Having personally dealt with ADHD, Jonathan understands the challenges of learning disabilities and has dedicated himself to finding effective learning methods that accommodate different learning styles and mitigate the obstacles associated with such conditions. He is deeply committed to supporting his students and providing them with tailored resources.
Outside of work, Jonathan is a devoted father to two children and has a strong passion for designing and building things, particularly through 3D printing. He also enjoys streaming games on Twitch and unwinding by watching Korean dramas and anime during his leisure time.
Since childhood, Claire Nottman has always been captivated by problem solving, from word games to jigsaw puzzles. As she grew up, she found her favorite types of puzzles to solve were those she encountered in her math and science classes. This passion led her to pursue a path in Biomedical Engineering. As a junior at Columbia University’s Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, Claire gets to combine her love of creative problem solving with her admiration of elegant scientific solutions as she works towards innovation with a meaningful impact: improved global health.

Cara Hill is a seasoned educator, with over twenty years of classroom experience in public and private schools in New York City. She has taught at the Packer Collegiate Institute, the Berkeley Carroll School, School of the Future, M.S. 51, and the high school academic outreach program Upward Bound at Columbia University. Throughout her teaching career, Cara has tutored, relishing the chance to work on a one-to-one basis with students across age groups and disciplines. In addition, she has mentored and trained many teachers at the middle and high school level, giving her a strong understanding of a wide array of teachers, students, and schools.
