Oprah Winfrey delivered this year’s commencement address at Spelman College discussing three lessons she believes matter most about being successful: 1) Define what you want and who you are, 2) Find a way to serve others, and 3) Always do the right thing. Oprah went on to explain that doing the right thing means acting with excellence. And when one acts with excellence, people notice. Oprah also offered advice about taking initiative, surrounding yourself with positive people, and putting out the energy you want to receive back. Oprah offered, “You want to be in the driver’s seat of your own life.”
