Nicole Sardar is a Learning Specialist and private tutor in New York City. Nicole earned her Master’s Degree in General and Special Education from Touro College. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Hunter College. Nicole has taught as a classroom teacher and as a SEIT at The Ramaz School, Manhattan Day School and privately. She teaches students, including those with disabilities, from Kindergarten through Middle School.
Nicole is patient, warm and encouraging. Her goal is for each and every student to develop the confidence and the motivation to maximize his/her academic potential. She helps her students use their strengths to work on their relative weaknesses. She is a teacher who focuses on the intellectual growth of the children together with their emotional and social well being.
Nicole is creative and engaging and differentiates her approach to meet the specific needs of each student. Nicole analyzes the children’s classroom readiness skills and uses individualized techniques to expand their interests and enhance their strengths. Nicole strives to ensure that her time spent with each student is a positive experience that encourages individual accomplishment and fosters a love for lifelong learning.
When she is not teaching professionally, Nicole is instilling her warmth, encouragement and the love for learning with her young son. She enjoys spending leisurely time with her husband and child, reading and cooking. Nicole also volunteers for charitable and community activities, including coordinating an auction for Chai Lifeline and assisting the elderly.
