Paul B. Yellin, M.D., FAAP and his team of experienced clinicians at The Yelling Center help struggling students experience genuine success in school and in life. Our interdisciplinary assessments help define a student’s unique learning profile to create an individual action plan for academic improvement. We help students, their families, and their teachers understand how students learn and to implement strategies to build on strengths and meet challenges. We also work with professionals in education and other fields to share emerging knowledge and practices in the study of learning and the practice of assessment.
The Yellin Center is located in the heart of New York City. Families from five continents, fifteen countries, and from across the United States have worked with our center since its inception.
At The Yellin Center, our assessment and management programs serve students in grades K-12, as well as young children; college, graduate students; and young adults. Dr. Yellin also works extensively with medical students, resident physicians, and faculty from schools across the nation to improve their performance, meet the expectations of their supervisors, and pass key exams leading to licensure. The Yellin Center is affiliated with the NYU School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, and is a training site for its Developmental-Behavioral Pediatric Fellowship Program. Dr. Yellin and his team are engaged in ongoing training of faculty and staff at a number of schools and work with foundations and nonprofits in projects designed to transform how students learn. Dr. Yellin is also a frequent speaker to parent groups and other organizations.
In response to the needs of the families seen at The Yellin Center, Dr. Yellin recruited his wife, Susan, an attorney with extensive experience in education law, to assist families in working with schools and obtaining needed services. Susan Yellin, Esq., c0-author of Life After High School: A Guide for Students with Disabilities and Their Families, also provides consultations with students who are coming to the end of their high school years and contemplating additional education or employment.

Dr. Jennifer Cross is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Child Development at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She received her medical degree (MB ChB) from Bristol University Medical School in England. She then moved to the United States and completed her Pediatric residency training at Lenox Hill Hospital and her fellowship training in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at New York Medical College in Valhalla.
Dr. Aronson-Ramos is pleased to offer Developmental Pediatric Consultations. Her practice is devoted to children, teens, and young adults with developmental delays, learning difficulties, behavioral challenges and other neuro-developmental problems. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of: Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Developmental Delays, Anxiety Disorders, Genetic Disorders, and Learning Disabilities. Her approach to treatment and diagnosis is comprehensive and family focused, to address the complex nature of the challenges a child or adolescent faces at home, in school, with peers and in understanding him or herself.
