As a graduate of Binghamton University with a B.S. in Human Development, Robyn Jaffe pondered her next steps. With a love for working with children, helping others and healthy living, she discovered Hofstra University’s graduate program in Health Education. It was an “ah-ha!” moment. After completing her Master’s Degree, Robyn taught health at the high school level on Long Island for several years before moving to Manhattan to take on a new challenge at an independent school.
Robyn currently works as the K-8 Health Curriculum Coordinator at Trinity School on the Upper West Side. She facilitates exciting activities and conversations surrounding important health topics with her students. Robyn provides authentic learning experiences to equip students with essential life skills including positive decision-making, planning and goal setting, and self-management. She strives to have students use these skills within the classroom and most importantly, when they walk out the door. Robyn is active in the middle school’s advisory program, serving as an advisor to 5th grade students. She has helped her 5th grade students with their transition from Lower to Middle School by working with them on goal-setting, organization, time management and social skills.
As a Certified Health Education Specialist who also moonlights as the Head of the Girl’s Division at sleepaway camp each summer, Robyn can provide valuable services for your child and family. Robyn is eager to assist your child with organizational skills, daily assignments, short-term or ongoing projects, building positive relationships, transitioning to adolescence and other life skills. Her contagious energy will motivate and excite your child at this time in his/her educational journey.
When she is away from work, Robyn enjoys spending quality time with her Kindle, running, exploring New York City and time spent with friends and family.
