Ria McCurdy is a Kindergarten teacher and private tutor in Montgomery County, Maryland. She enjoys creating interactive and engaging academic lessons for her students, often incorporating various types of technology across subject areas. Ria previously taught 1st grade and skillfully differentiates her instruction and creates individualized projects for her students. She is very involved in the teaching community and loves to collaborate with colleagues to develop enhanced teaching practices.
In May of 2012, Ria graduated with a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the Graduate Studies Creative Initiatives in Teacher Education program (CITE), a cohort program between Montgomery County Public Schools and the University of Maryland. Ria received her Bachelor of Arts from Frostburg with a double major in Spanish and Advertising.
Ria’s hobbies include outdoor activities such as playing soccer, running and snowboarding during the winter. She also loves to read books, draw, learn new languages and travel!
