Jodi Rabinowitz is a Human Resource professional with over 20 years of talent, leadership and organizational development experience. After many years of working internally with very successful organizations she has launched her own consulting firm using the many skills acquired through “real time” work scenarios.
Most recently, Ms. Rabinowitz was the Head of Organizational Development at OppenheimerFunds. In her role, she was responsible for all talent management, learning and organizational development activities for the firm. Ms. Rabinowitz partnered with senior leadership to increase the effectiveness of OppenheimerFunds’ “high conviction” culture initiative.
Prior to joining OppenhemierFunds, Ms. Rabinowitz was the Head of Talent Management and Acquisition for BNP Paribas’ Corporate Investment Bank, Europe’s largest bank and the 5th largest bank worldwide. She was responsible for the design and implementation of talent and learning initiatives for the Americas as well as overseeing recruiting in the U.S. Her focus was to increase organizational effectiveness by affecting each touch point in the employee life cycle. Ms. Rabinowitz’s passion is to turn around underperforming, undervalued functions within Human Resources and transform them into strategic, value-add areas for the business.
Ms. Rabinowitz pioneered the first successful implementation of a transparent talent management process at BNP. Additionally, she created a Talent Board comprised of Managing Directors from each business line with the responsibility of driving all talent initiatives. This board ensures that talent initiatives are generated by the business for the business that has increased their success.
Ms. Rabinowitz believes that in order to facilitate change you need to have credibility with clients, act courageously to forward the business agenda and be tenacious about achieving results. She has a passion for executive development and is always looking for creative and innovative ways to add value to the businesses she supports.
Ms. Rabinowitz’s corporate experience has primarily been within financial services. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, she worked at ABN AMRO as the Director of Learning and Development, Global Markets/Global Clients and at Merrill Lynch in the Corporate and Institutional Client Group, Leadership Development Department. In both organizations she concentrated on the enhancement of performance and talent management systems, career development and employee engagement.
Ms. Rabinowitz brings an interesting perspective to leadership development derived from her experience building custom programs for Fortune 100 companies while employed at The Center for Creative Leadership. She is well positioned to tackle the behavioral aspects of leadership utilizing the clinical skills she gained early in her career while working at a boutique Employee Assistance firm and Bellevue Hospital’s Psychiatric Emergency room.
Ms. Rabinowitz is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences and Masters of Social Work.
