Christine Reilly has experience as a traditional, classical, and progressive educator and private tutor. Christine currently teaches the craft of writing at Sarah Lawrence College. She was previously on faculty at Dalton as a 2nd grade Associate Teacher and City and Country School as a 2nd grade teacher. Before transitioning to the elementary level, Christine taught English and Social Studies at the Professional Children’s School. During the 2013-2014 school year, Christine oversaw the Writing Center and after-school Homework and Tutoring Center at the Collegiate School.
Christine received her MFA in English from Sarah Lawrence College and her Bachelor’s degree with Honors in English and Psychology from Bucknell University. In the past, she has also worked at Tin House literary journal, Morningside Montessori School, and the Gotham Writers’ Workshop. Currently, Christine is focused on the release of her literary novel with Simon & Schuster in February 2016.
Christine Reilly’s two biggest passions are teaching and writing. She is a poet who has been published in over fifty academic and literary journals. She has also published two books of poetry. Christine’s favorite authors include Tim O’Brien, Jennifer Egan, James Baldwin, Amy Bloom, and Aimee Bender.
