New York City Subway System
With New York City as our playground, the possibilities are endless! Take a fabulous teacher, a subject matter expert, a curious learner, and a metro card (or cab) and you have a recipe for learning success!
Interactive field trips emphasize “active viewing,” multisensory learning, and discussion to help students deeply engage with the learning experience. Students acquire a new understanding through participation, and each trip is customized to meet the interests and needs of an individual or small group.
For younger learners, interactive field trips provide a terrific opportunity to develop social skills. Through games and discussions, students engage in authentic, meaningful conversation about their experiences and opinions. Through thought-provoking questions, word games, writing, acting and drawing, interactive field trips with a skillful teacher help students to explore the world around them.
Parents are welcome to join and many ask us to help them feel more confident about taking their children to museums and galleries and engaging them in discussions and learning activities.
Tours are generally available on weekends during the school year, school holidays, and summer vacation. We offer tours for all age groups and will modify discussions and analysis for age-appropriateness. We will happily plan programs for an individual or groups of any size.
“I love the private tours around New York City! They’re so much fun, I forget that they’re educational! I’ve been to the Intrepid, MoMA, the Met, the Natural History Museum, the Liberty Science Center and Sony Technology Lab.”
