Mila Martynovsky has been teaching and privately tutoring middle school, high school and college level mathematics for more than twenty years in both the United States and Russia. She has a broad base of mathematics knowledge and is passionate about engaging and challenging her students. Mila is currently a math instructor at the Speyer Legacy school, where her students have succeeded in competitions like MATHCOUNTS, Math Kangaroo International Competition, AMC 8 and 10, and MOEMS (Math Olympiads) contest. Mila earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Ural State University and a Master’s degree in Education from the Moscow State University.
Mila believes that all students can discover the beauty and joy of math. By investing the time to understand her students’ personalities and establish a great rapport, Mila is able to create a safe learning environment that inspires her students to excel. She has extensive experience preparing students for entrance to specialized high schools, including Hunter, Stuyvesant, Bronx High School of Science, and Brooklyn Tech. Additionally, she supports students pursuing the John Hopkins University summer program (CTY).

In her spare time, Mila loves to explore the great city of New York, especially Museum Mile.
