Michal has been tutoring for over 15 years and has acquired the sensibility and emotional depth to understand diversity and the different ways of learning. She has tutored students from elementary school through college, concentrating on teaching Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, as well as reading, writing, and conversational Hebrew. Michal graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Pre-Health from Yeshiva University Stern College for Women. As part of her professional experience as a teacher, she taught Science in an inclusion classroom setting at SAR Academy in NY, helping students achieve higher-level learning through motivating students to make personal connections with the material and stimulating critical thinking. Her main focus has always been to give her students the necessary tools to overcome different obstacles and ultimately learn to their fullest potential.
Her love for both teaching and learning has been ingrained within her since she was a young girl. Growing up in different parts of the world, learning new languages, and getting accustomed to new mentalities was something that she smoothly transitioned into all thanks to the loving and caring teachers she had along the way. She feels that they had the perfect secret ingredient of patience, care and determination to make sure that she persisted and finally succeeded by reaching her goals. Not only has she received the right learning tools from them but these specific teachers impacted her throughout her childhood and later on in life.
She believes that although there are numerous universal ways of determining achievements in school, there are many ways to learn. Michal, therefore deeply understands the importance of finding each student’s strengths and weaknesses, while reaching the right individual path that will lead to their passion for learning, just as her past teachers have so brilliantly done.
In her spare time, Michal enjoys reading, yoga, traveling, art and spending time with her family and friends.
