Meagan Steinkamp was raised in the heart of Silicon Valley, where she had an early exposure to technology and the ever-expanding web. Trained in HTML and CSS from middle school, Meagan fused her knack for technology with a passion for art and has worked her way to a career in digital design.
Meagan graduated from Parsons the New School for Design, where she was trained in various aspects of design and technology, including graphic design, motion graphics, web design and development. As a student, she was able to expand her knowledge of design programs, programming languages, and methods of creating rich user experiences on the web. Outside of school, she completed several design internships and various freelance projects. She is eager to share her web and graphic design knowledge with students interested in creating their own websites.
Meagan now works for KBS+, a prominent advertising agency managing digital content for clients like BMW, and is involved with various graphic and web design projects independently. A current collaboration project is SpliceLit, an interactive literary magazine where she is able to experiment with JQuery functions: with each new issue, she designs and codes new content.
When not experimenting with new programming languages, Meagan can be found reading or baking.
