Gail Fribush describes herself as a life-long learner who began her educational career as a high school Spanish teacher in Montgomery County, Maryland. Since then she has been fortunate to have a variety of experiences and opportunities that have enabled her to continue to learn and develop new skills. Her MA Ed in Counseling and Master’s in Social Work helped prepare her for positions as a high school alternative teacher, a pupil personnel worker, middle school counselor and IB coordinator. The common thread in all of these experiences is recognizing, nurturing and encouraging the unique individuality and potential of each student.
Gail believes in identifying and building on students’ strengths, while providing support for relative weaknesses. She has considerable experience as a private tutor assisting students with executive function coaching as well as general approaches to learning. She is also able to prepare students for their Bat or Bar Mitzvah experience, including learning to read Torah and haftarah.
In her spare time Gail enjoys yoga, music, fresh air and a good laugh.
