Dunia Fajardo is a graduate of Florida International University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 1999. Dunia has more than 15 years of experience working with elementary through high school aged students. Her expertise includes elementary math, reading, science and social studies instruction as well as all levels of Spanish and teaching English language learners. Dunia has experience working with a wide range of students and differentiating her instruction to meet the needs of each learner, including remediation and acceleration. Throughout her career, Dunia has mentored numerous teacher interns within her classroom. Beyond her classroom, Dunia is a sought-after private tutor in her community. Teaching has been Dunia’s passion since she can remember. Her charismatic personality and positive attitude is evident in everything she does.
In her spare time Dunia enjoys giving back to the community by participating in and organizing 5Ks, Dragon Boat Races, and fundraisers for organizations, such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Dunia is also a world traveler and loves to incorporate these experiences into her teaching.
